Good deal on a 07 EX Coupe w/ NAV?
I have been offered 19,100 on a Civic EX w/NAV and I'm trying to see if this is a good deal. Been checking prices for about a week now and this is the lowest I've gotten. I did a search but could only find a thread about SI prices not just EX. Do you guys think this is a good deal?
Just the price alone means very little. You need to find out interest rates/term etc... Never tell the dealer you want $X monthly payment or $X vehicle price. it might be the price you want but at 9% for 7 years.
I disagree, negotiating an OTD price is what I would always recommend, it is trying to get a certain payment that tends to get you screwed. The main thing to do when negotiating a final price is to secure financing from an outside institution and then tell the dealership you will only finance through them if they can beat it (they generally will). $19,100 is an excellent price if it includes the destination charge, in fact it is slightly under invoice which is good for any Civic with Nav. Make sure they aren't trying to add anything on to the back of the deal though.

the 19,100 price is before dest. taxes, title, fees. So i'm looking at a 20,600 OTD price which with my credit equates to a 375/month payment with 60 months financing. Any more input? I'm due to go into the dealership today in an hour.
Good price, mine, without navi was 19,900 OTD.
But again what these guys said... pay attention to the whole deal, add ons, financing... etc. etc...
I got financed through USAA at 2.9% so I didn't really have to worry about the financing.

Not a bad price at all, you got a better than average price especially considering Navigation.

UPDATE::
After 2 days of ownership, dealership calls me back to inform me that he has a better interest rate for me and wants me to come back in. Is this what the says it is or some weird dealership trick?

No..that means he signed u up at a higher interest rate...not knowing what he could really get for u...ended up getting a better interest rate than he thought..tell him u wanna see the banks actual offer...cause finance people make money if they sign u up at a higher interest rate than what the bank actually gives them..like..2 points or rate or so..I think the most they can make on u is 3 points..but that could effect your payment by 30-40 dollars a month. And also..a good rule of thumb when you go to look at a car..and you know you have decent credit is to figure 20-22 dollars a month per 1,000 dollars financed..that will typically be within 10-20 bucks of your actual payment excluding any extra things u get in the finance office i.e. extended warranties, gap, etc..
UPDATE::
When i got the car i signed an interest rate for 10.5% (i know it's really high but i'm only 19 and it's my first car with just my name on the title). Dealership said they can give me 8.5% so i'm going to go in and see what they can do.

That is the back door antics I was talking about, and it is also why I always recommend securing financing at a credit union or another bank and forcing the dealership to beat it. Don't buy anything else if they try to sell it to you, don't pay a fee to have it switched down, just get them to switch it.
