Default mini me shitting out on me?!?! hELPEPE

just did a mini me swap on my 96 ek ..put a z6 head on it and finally got it running, the car when cold seems to run ok but when it warms up everytime i shift and gas the car starts sounding like its shitting out and i get no response for a good 2-3 sumtimes more seconds, sumtimes it seems like its really bad, also when im comming to a stop the car dies out when its warmed up, cold it idles at 900 and says consistant.. im thinking i need to check timing with a timing gun and i ordered a adjustable gear to try and fix this but this is the only thing i can think of to fix it, vacuum lines? anyone have help

ok im not sure if single cams are the same but i know if you do an lsvtec you have to use the timing belt for the correct head your using, not block because the b16 head is shorter from top to bottom so if you used a b18 timing belt it would be loose.. so im not sure if this applies to single cams as well but check that, use an adjustable cam gear along with a timing gun to make sure your timing is correct and if that fails try another distributor... if your throwing codes check them and post results so someone can help further.. good luck

That is not true. When I did my mini me I had to use a z6 timing belt. I had a y8 head and b7 block. His timing is off somewhere... do you have a timing light?

i have a mini me in my civic right now asshat. i couldnt use a b7 tbelt b/c it has too many teeth, the z6 tbelt is the one you use. your timing if probly off as was already stated. again, read the mini me thread stickied to the top of the page. tells you everything you need to know.

edit: this is the correct info,. the stuff i posted b4 was wrong, i was very very tired. sorry. z6 t belt FTW
