cel dont know how to check codes though
yeah i just converted my car to obd1 and well, my car wont start, my cel is on, but i dodnt know how to check the codes, b/c the obd1 ecu doesnt have that blinking light, my friend told me some way to "trip" the ecu so it will flash on the dash, im a noob to this ecu stuff, idk how to check it, any help?
i had a friend make one, he does wiring harnesses here in town for engine swaps and ****. i paid him to make me one and he found the scamatics online
there should be two wires left over that are unused at the moment. those are meant to jump the ecu and have the cel flash in the cluster. read the blinks the same way and viola! you have your codes. ask him about this
yeah, well.... the car is at his house, its been there for 2 months, **** wont start and i believe its some kind of wiring problem.... i dont know, the starter wont do anything, no click not even trying to start. but what gets me is it was doing the same thing when it was odb0 and non-turbo, what pisses me off is all that money on my turbo and the conversion.... lol still wont start, but the lights on the dash wont light up or anything, imma bout to burn this bitch down!
the cel light thing is prob the least of your problems. seems like your buddy sucks at wiring. look up rywire.com. contact peter or ryan there and they can help you out a lot. they will definitely help you get that puppy on the road.

You need to ground pin D4 it should be a brown wire comming out of the obd1 ecu... Hold it to a ground and cound the blinks on the dash, A long blink meant 10 shorts are 1. Make sure to keep a solid eye on it because im sure your throwing multiple codes
