i was wanting to boost my gsr in my hatch! i was wondering about the turbo kits they sell on ebay? are they any good? are they worth the money they want for them? i was gonna buy a kit then just buy a t3/t4 garret turbo and throw the turbo that comes with it away! need some advice!!!!!!

 

Search the archives for "eBay turbo" and you'll find all the information you need. In short, no, they aren't very good.

 

if you plan to put down a good deal of power buy parts that you know can handle it not 100 dollar ebay turbo kits it will save u money in the long run

 

Some of them come with fairly descent parts. A friend of mine bought one for 900$ i think, came with a Turbonetics Turbo and wastegate, and a descent intercooler. The manifold is **** though, don't use the manifold.

 

i was wonedering the same thing, but found most of the kits for about 900 bucks come with a garret turbo. the only problems i know they have are the turbo manifolds, they are crap but the rest are good, so maybe you could buy the kit resale the manifold to some sucker and buy you a good manifold
