Rear swaybar help please?

I have a 97 ex with a 00 Si rear swaybar. I also have a GSR swaybar laying around. My question is, can i simply switch out the Si rear swaybar for the GSR one? Im doing this because i might be able to sell the Si easier then the GSR.

(8:59 PM 1/15/2007) Eran: Yes, you can. Depending on your exhaust setup, you may have to put the top mounting plate bolt in the bottom hole, and then tap out for a new hole. That's what I had to do for my GSR bar and Tanabe exhaust.

You can use a GSR bar in place of an Si bar, given the same exact setup. A GSR bar will bolt to the Si endlinks and the GSR d-brackets and bushings will bolt to the Si subframe brackets.
One thing I am not sure about is the exact geometry of the bar. I have a Tanabe exhaust, and the way it bends would have been in direct path of the sway bar (ie, the sway bar would have had to go into my piping.
To remedy this, I put bolted the top hole in the subframe bracket to the bottom hole in the subframe. I then tapped out two new holes at about a 15degree angle, and then bolted it down. Here's a picture:

Preloading a swaybar is where there is torsion loaded onto the swaybar when installed and it applies load to the suspension.
This really isn't a problem unless there is a large enough preload, and if the preload is asymmetrical. It can cause the body to look "tilted" to one direction or the other. For a daily/drag/road/auto-x setup car, this is a bad thing, because a car will roll more one direction than the other.
Asymmetrical preload is good for oval racing because it allows for the body to be pitched to the inside of the track.

No, I did this on both sides. I was just merely explaining what preload is. My swaybar is equally preloaded.

I never knew it was upside down, I put it on the only way that would fit. I know it works the way it's installed, and have learned to drive with it the way it is. Not sure about the endlink, that's a new predicament. Hasn't been like that for long. 
Guess it's time for a new setup ... wish it was on my terms instead of "your swaybar is fucked" terms .... ASR brace and ST front and rears, here I come.
