Default um guys...is this right??

so my sohc zc is missfiring eversince i rebuilt it, i've replaced plug wires, dizzy cap and dizzy rotor and new spark plugs...two sets actually one is ngk v power correctly gapped and the other set are densos.

the engine is still missfiring and the other day i was messing with ignition timing by moving the dizzy back in forth i noticed this for the first time that it sparked between the top bolt that holds the dizzy still...i dont think thats supposed to happen...what do you guys think??

i am thinking that the spark is grounding there and there isnt enough spark sent to the spark plug to fully ignite all the air fuel mixture in the cylinder? or am i wrong?? i am desperate for help now...ahhhhhhhhhhh!! help.

Near the distributor ? I would say its a bad cap or rotor. Check the cap for cracks.

Yeah take it off an inspect it, I don't care if they're brand new, caps can break if someone drops it.

Possibly sand down all your grounds, the dist grounds it self through the case, so it could be a grounding issue, any way to get a short video or anything?

look for bare wires touching the dist body, black spots, evidence of blue smoke escaping!
