Default Drove 2 2007 Si Coupes today.

Liked them pretty well.First I drove a Silver one,and it seemed to have a vibration which I think may have been from the tires sitting in the cold. Then I drove a Galaxy Grey one, seemed to still have a slight vibration, but not as much as the Silver one. Also, the Grey hasn't been on the lot as long.I like both colors about equal, with an edge toward Silver just because it won't show dirt as much.Anyway,I am kind of shying away from the Silver because of the vibration as I would hate to buy a car and have some weird problem.I was told the price is $21000,was $21685.Anything else I should lookat before buying? This will be my first new car.

I would have them fix it before you even drive it off the lot. Might save you some trouble.

maybe the cars havn't been PDI'ed.. (pre-delivery inspection). Tire pressure should be checked and adjusted in this process so maybe that's the vibration coming from.

If they're being test driven or even just sitting on the lot then you can guarantee they've been PDI'd. No car leaves the lot without being run through service first

According to The Beach Boys, vibrations are good.

Vibration as in possibly tires sitting in the cold. That should go away after awile and is minor. Also, could be a vibration in the drivetrain.Anyway, don't want to risk anything.I have bought 3 cars(used) from dealers in my life, and two ended up haveing front end type problems that no one could fix.I had a nice 97 T-Bird that the steering wheel would shake bad going down the road, finally got the dealer to buy it back.My current car is a 99 Crown Vic,and it has always had a pull to the left.I put new tires on it,had it aligned 3 times, and it still pulls. It has no sign of being wrecked.Anyway,I am very leary of cars with any kind of issues like this.

Oh,what do you all think of the price of $21000?I may go back and look at them more. The Silver vibrated more, but it has also been at the lot longer than the Grey.I think it may be the tires just need to be driven and warmed up,but not sure if the dealer would let me go for that long of a drive.

GG looks good if you have full HFP kit (wheels, aero, suspension ect) but if youre getting it plain, get a the silver.

Also new for Mazda, 2006 cars had a 48month 50K warranty, the 2007's are all 3years 36,000.... Guess they were spending too much fixing their cars with the longer warranty.

Agreed, it is a minor problem caused by sitting on the lot for durations of time, especially in the cold. Think of the tires as a basketball. When weight is placed on it for a long duration of time, it becomes less round and more oblong. The same happens with the tires, they become less round because they have not been driven and have sat on the same spot in the tire. This goes away with normal driving and heating of the tires. However, if it becomes a problem for an extended period of time, say 2-3 weeks, then it's time to take it back to the dealer. Many car buyers have the same issue, but in my experience has always been resolved.
