Default automatic to manual swap

I'm looking to swap out the automatic.... I know how hard it is to do this on an EG but how hard is it to do on an older Civic? Are the parts readily available, or should I just say the hell with it and put it in LS motor with automatic in there?

are you talking an auto-to-manual d-to-d swap or d-to-b? I did an automatic d15b2-to-d16z6 swap using a 91' si tranny. Anyways, if staying d-series you will need a manual rear mount (~$20), shift linkage (~$50), clutch cable (~$50), pedal assembly ($50)

im guessing hes putting a B in it lol.. and just search this.. im sure theres tons of stuff on here about it since it gets asked alot.

i just came up with a brilliant plan.. they should make a sticky about how to use the search button in bold letters.. that would actually help alot of people.. and im not being sarcastic at all.

I can get the parts that how hard is it to actually do the swap itself? And I will be keeping that the series motor in it most likely I'll be changing it out to a zc motor. Or I might just turbocharge the stock setup, but I'm looking at a nice civic that has an automatic transmission, and the guys wanting to trade me for my s10 but I don't really like automatics at all. So I was thinking about changing it to a manual. Just try to get an idea of how hard the swap is going to be.

I did find some information on the b series swap but I did not find any for the d-series and in 88 generation Civic hatch. Almost everything else I found was for the newer hatchback but I already know how to do that swap.the biggest question I had was regarding the cable transmission, and how hard that was. Most of the rest of the parts I can get very easy. I know a guy who has a civic he's parting out just down the road

Whats the qeustion you have specifically about the transmission? Other than the different mounts, and your basic clutch, flywheel, etc, there's not a whole lot more, other than the reverse light wiring and the wiring for the neutral safety.
I used to have links to them, i'll see what i can find, cross your fingers

I can say with confidence, the pedal swap is ok, but im glad i got it out of the way first.

edit - If you don't have it on the list, 5 speed axles.
