Swapping a JDM D15B into 92 Civic 4dr
So I have swapped motors before but it was always cars that were already wired for vtec and what not. This is for my second daily driver and I just wanted to be clear on a few things. Is it true that all 92 Civic's are already wired for Vtec? If so that means this swap will be as easy as bolting in the motor, and plugging up a 92-95 Ex/Si engine harness and OBDI P28 and I'll be ready to go? I bought a 92 4dr in pretty decent shape for $400 bucks and thought it would be fun to throw a JDM D15B in there and see what she can do. Obviously it wont be anything like my hatch but it should be fun to put around in. Thanks for the help
I have heard that same thing alot about 92 civics being prewired, but I wouldnt count on it. Either way it is an easy thing to wire in. Just a couple wires. You can check by looking at the ex/si wire harness plug that goes to the passenger side shock tower, and comparing it to the chassis harness in the same place. All the wires should match up. If you dont have the engine harness, then this link:

should show you were the vtec pinouts are. Even this link says that the 92's are prewired though, so maybe they are. I would still check.
