Calling all +++JDM swap++++ gurus!!
I bought a SOHC JDM vtec d15b. How do I convert the JDM wire harness to plug up into my 92 cx? I heard I can use a 92-95 si/ex harness, but they're kind of expensive. Can I use my cx's d15b7 harness and add the vtec wire? If I can, does anybody have any diagrams or pics of any sort. All help is welcome.
thanx in advance.

Seriously, why did you get a D15b? It has something like 92 hp doesn't it? I am just wondering if there is something about this engine that I am not aware of. Thanks.

JDM d15's are the motors the same motors in vti's, they push somethin like 127 ponies. The reason I got it instead of just holding out for my b18c1 is because my cx motor popped a piston ring and was burning oil and suffering from some serious back pressure.
As for turbo.... not quite yet. After I go dohc and build up the internals. I got the basic bolt ons from my former engine I just need the harness info.

If your looking to save a little cash, you can make the rhd harness work. It will reach.
Im using a jdm wiring harness w/ my b18c'r swap.

the 1.5 vtec vti engine and says VTEC on the valvecover (obd-1)
and just says HONDA on obd2 valvecover and it is 127hp
thats a 1.5 vtec-e engine, 92hp
Good luck

indeed a VTEC-E from a JDM Civic ETi (VX) rated at 94ps. not 130ps like a VTi d15b
giveaways:
valve cover VTEC-E = Economy (lean burn)
EGR = again to aid the environment
top mounted cat
super small intake/TB
tiny ports
3.25FDR tranny = economy (overall the car will be just as as fast as before (cx))
P07 ecu or P84 ETi ecu = 6500rpm rev limit with 90lb/ft of torque is simply crazy
now as far as the harness, which ecu if VTEC-E then you need to do much more wiring then you think. use your old one, add vtec wires, egr wiring, 5wire 02

Are you serious? That means I was duped. Dammit. HMO is responsible. I was told it was 127 horses. I'll be on the phone with them tommorrow.

thats what I was trying to say in my original post. Isnt it essentially, if not the exact, same engine from the 5g VX?
