T some 92 civics were wired up for VTEC not vtech!! you can check the ecu pinouts to see if it was or not..

Only the vx and ex are ready for the vtech because they already have an engine that has vtech in it. The ecu is going to be the p-28, for the ex anway.

All 92-95 EX, VX and Si models have the VTEC (not vtech) wiring because they have VTEC motors (well the VX is VTEC-E). I've heard that the 92 Canadian CX models were also wired up from the ecu to the engine harness plugs, but not the engine harness itself. All you need to do is check your pinouts at the ecu and you'll know if it's there or not.

all 92 civics had the same harness, whether it was a cx or an si....so, true
this is only the case w/ the 92s. let's keep the misinformation at a minimum

I have to agree with marked001

Yup - ALL 1992 Civics are pre-wired for VTEC. I think I've gotten 5 IMs about this lately...

One more time:
1992 ALL Civics were prewired for VTEC. My 1992 CX is, and so was my pal's 1992 DX, and every other 1992 Civic that I know of, regardless of trim.

FIRST OF ALL IF YOU READ THE GOD DAMNED THREAD YOU WOULD NOT HAVE SAID "VTECH" WHEN THE CORRECT WAY IS VTEC!!! VTECH IS A ******* PHONE COMPANY AND THE HILLBILLY VERSION OF HONDA'S VTEC!!!
Sorry, but that just pisses me off - when people can't even read a damned thread w/o repeating bullshit!
Okay. I'll tell you what:
ALL 1992 Civics are pre-wired for VTEC.
AFTER 1992, as in 1993-1995 only the VX, Si, and EX had wires for VTEC since they already had VTEC motors in them.
The confusion will continue if you guys can't even read a thread without spreading misinformation!
I'm sorry if I sound like an ******* here, but ******* A man, just read the post and don't post if you don't know for SURE on a topic.
Sure the plugs will all plug in, but you will STILL have to wire up VTEC on the 1993-1995 CX, DX, and LX models since they have no provisions for VTEC.
And if you're running the B18C1 or H22A, then you have to wire up the secondary butterfly wire and the knock sensor wire ALONG with the VTEC.
And if you run ANY ECU with a knock sensor, then you will have to wire up the knock sensor EVEN if you don't have to wire up VTEC.

VTECH rules d00d!!!!!!
It's even worse when a Chevy guy asks: "is that wunna them there Vortec engines?!?!
And yes, all 92 Civics came pre-wired for VTEC(H) I have had two, and both of them have the wires...not a coincidence.
