Default electrical gremlincito

I have a 91 crx dx with a few electrical problems. the previous owner installed a pair of tenzo r fog lights (1 of which was burned out). the interior domelight had been acting up but upon unhooking one of the fog lights, the dome light stopped working indefinitely. when i took out the alarm system, i saw that he had the fog switch wired up to the empty fuse slots under the steering column which still worked, but neither of the fog lights work now (the working one stopped shortly after disconnecting it's brother.) So i'm wondering if there's a way of fixing the dome light primarily. i checked the fuse and the bulb and they're fine. could it be a corroded wire?

also, is there a way to open up the fog lights? they seem to be sealed with some kind of unearthly glue. I've heard that you have to put the tailight garnish in the oven to loosen the glue... will it be the same with these? i hear broken glass when I shake the housing... that's a good sign right???

anyways would you recommend wiring them to the parking lights or installing a dedicated switch (ideally the jdm fog light switch eventually). sorry this post isn't very coherant. i've been staring at the screen for far to long.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok i fixed the dome light, but it looks like the door switch is messed up in that it doesn't close the circuit when open to engage the dome light. does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to adjust the switches? maybe it's because it's freakin cold here in utah... i don't know.

also, i still haven't managed to open my fog light to replace the bulb... any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's probably a bad ground on the door sensors, push the black part back and you'll see a philips screw behind it, undo that and you can remove the assembly and clean it up.
