3,000 rpm problem
i have a 91 ef hatch 1.6 vtec turbo the idel stay at 3,000 the iac is not plugged in if i plug it in the car does not go passed 4,000 rpm but idel gos to normal
IACV not plugged in? why?
Fix all the problems you know of, then tackle the problems you can't figure out.
Also, it's turbo'd - so that means it had to have been somewhat tuned to run boost.
If it hasn't been tuned, or is running a stock ECU, you probably don't want to take the RPMs above 4000 until you do get it tuned. Pretty stupid if you boost untuned.
Could just be a distributor related problem - thats usually where to look if you can't rev past a certain point. Take care of that IACV problem first.
And check the codes to find out what other problems you have.
