Default B20 Vtec............

Ive been looking at alot of options for my DA, i think im going with B20 Vtec. I just want to get all my facts straight before i dive into this. Im looking at a B16 head and obviously a B20 block. I found a kit that gives u the oil lines the head gasket the dowl pins ect. Its a bolt up kit, no machine work involved. I want to know if this will work, and what do i need to look out for( problems concerns). I want to hear from people that have this set up/people that have done this before.

I just put together an LSVTEC with the Golden Eagle kit. Very simple and straightforward, if you are mechanically inclined in the least.

Nope. I just had to run a single wire for the VTEC solenoid. The car was running an S100, so I disabled the VTEC pressure check. You will need an OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness and an OBD1 distributor-if you want to run Hondata or Crome.

so i would be better off getting an obd1 b16 head? What OBD r the b20 blocks( do they have a crank position sensor or anything)

The OBD of the head does not matter-you can bolt up an OBD0 head to an OBD2 engine and still use all of the sensors. Many of the B20 blocks available are OBD2, which is not a problem if you are running OBD0 or OBD1 ECU's and wiring.

It's not my car. It's an 81.5 x 89mm low compression turbo motor.

you can use any b series cable tranny. preferebly a b16/gsr because they are shorter geared than an ls.
