Default D16Y8 OR D15B7

So i have both engines but i was wondering which one is the best swap I got everything from the d15b7, but i dont have the harness for the y8 which one is easyer?

you dont need the harness for the y8 you use your stock harness. the b7 will be easyer cause you can run it obd0 but the y8 will be faster cause its vtec.

ok so i'll try to find a y8 harness how can i converet to obd0 it's going into a 91 crx si

You don't convert the Y8 harness, you convert your stock harness to the motor. Since you are already MPFI you will have to extend some wires and add in the VTEC wiring. You lucked out with the Y8 as the distributor flange is the same as the D16A6 family of heads so you can use your stock distributor.

if you want any y8 parts let me know. i just bought 2 y8 motors, i have an auto and manual intake mani along with one engine harness, clutch with flywheel, oil pans, let me know if you want. i am keeping the heads. one was blown through the block when a con rod snapped. other one has good block. 8 good pistons and such.one good crank too. good luck

You don't do that. It's half-assed and won't run right.

Ideally, you'd convert to OBD-2 and run a P2P ECU.

sorry, to be honest i thought it was okay because i see it so much in these types of threads. i thought it was the norm but now i know im wrong. thanks for setting me striaght. I will pm from now on. sorry about that and have a good one!
