2000 Honda Civic wiring/relay problem
I recently bought a 2000 Honda Civic and soon figured out I had a wiring/relay problem. I think they call it a door trigger but the beeping noise that is made when the keys are in the ignition and the driver side door is open seems to be backwards. When I first open my door and the keys are OUT OF THE IGNITION the beeping noise is made but when I have the keys in with the car off it stops. I know there is a relay to kill this feature in most cars but I can't seem to find it in mine. If someone could just tell me where the relay/wire is located I really want to just kill the beeping feature altogether. Also, my dome light seems to have a bad connection because it will flicker on and off sometimes or not even work. When this happens I just tap on it and it seems to work after a few tries. I really havent attempted to fix this problem at all and I'm sure its just a bad connection but if anyone has any advice before I dive into it myself I'd appreciate it. Lastly I have a keyless entry/alarm installed that automatically arms itself after about 60 seconds if the doors are closed and the key is not clicked forward to the second slot that triggers the A/C. This feature comes in handy in the event that I forget to arm my alarm but is really annoying when I'm doin somethin such as washing my car. I bought the car as is and am not sure exactly to disarm this automatic lock feature. If anyone has any advice to any of these three problems I'd greatly appreciate it.
