Hey Guys,

Just trying to wire up my jdm obd2 b18c into my obd1 delsol. I have the obd1 p72 and am using the obd2 harness. So far I get that It all plugs up and then I have to add a wire for the iab and the knock sensor. My sol has two wires TDCP TDCM where as the obd2 harness only connects to one of those wires, why is that? and is it sweet? Also I have to wire up my oxgen sensor. I have a four pin plug coming off of the loom and only one wire going to the o2 sensor, what do I do? Is my ecu already wired for the four pin plug? I just don’t want to wire it wrong and fry my ecu.

i also am in the middle of doing this same swap and im lost i have the engine a tranny bolted up and ready to go now im just left with wiring. i have the jdm harnees for the b18c and a harness from a left hand drive b18 from the junk yard and the stock d15 harness from the delsol im doing the swap to i have no clue as to what to do with the wiring do you have any pionters thanks

 

Is your B18C OBD1 or 2? Is the harness you got for a B18B or B18C? You will probably only need to add wiring for IABs and the knock sensor at the shock towerif you use a B18C engine harness.

 

Use the del sol engine harness, add the vtec wires, extend wires where needed.
