Default Real Quick Question

Just wondering if a D16Y8 (I believe that is the one out of the 99 civic ex) head will fit on my D15B7 block. Just wondering if I will have nay complications with the OBD-II head on my OBD-I block. Also, if it will work which ecu would I use. A P28 or the OBD-II ecu.

It won't work fine....well it will, but he'll need to use an OBD-I dizzy and injectors.

Well I can get ahold of the complete engine, but it has a spun bearing so in the mean time I heard that if I put that head on my block, with the metal head gasket I can get a higher compression. Or was it the other way around. Oh well either way. I do believe that I am going to send the y8 block out to get hot tanked, and also get the crank balanced, recut, and knife edged. Going off of what you said, is it possible to use the complete y8 with a P28 and the obd-1 dizzy and injectors. Also, I am planning on going on boostn in the near future and am wondering if 550cc injectors off of a 1987 supra would work or would i need a resistor box. I am not sure of the impedance on those injectors. Just wondering if anyone knew off hand.

Sorry. I really thought it was only going to be one question. Just want to know which timming belt i shoudl use. Someone told me that I need to use the timing belt for the water pump I am using. i.e. a DX water pump will use a DX timing belt for this swap. Just wondering if that is correct if not can someone point me int he right direction.
