there it is! haha.

just something to kill some time, and test if i really understood what the short shift adapters do (move the linkage further up the shift lever).

installed similar to this:

http://syclone.motocrew.com/CG5/dcss.htm

the (3) bolts straddle the shift lever (the smaller hole next to the bolts was a measurement error).
the top left hole is for the linkage (the two brown things hold it on, pretty good fit, btw).
the lower hole is for the normal linkage connection bolt (that's what all the washers are for).

it works decently well for what it is. shortened the throw noticeably.
drove around for about 5 minutes and it was already wiggling loose,
though. i put some loctite on the bolts/nuts, so hopefully it'll stay
tight a bit longer. even with the loctite it probably won't stand up to
much abuse, and with normal use would probably wear out quite
quickly, but i ordered a short shift adapter off ebay already, so hopefully
it'll hold up longer. this little experiment has given me some optimism
for when the "real" one arrives!

Unfortunately your adapters are cr@p, buy true pspec or forbidden short shifter.

why do you consider it to be crap? becasue its not functional? or perhaps cuz its not pretty? no no no.. i think you say it is crap because you like many others prefer to spend money on somthing to make you feel special. you prefer to spend money and follow what others do so that you can then brag about how you have a" true" Short Shifter..lol..ppl like you are lame..if its functional rock it!..dont forget its function over form!

i actually just bought a short shifter adapter like the one you refered to above. Ive had it for about 2 weeks now and im kind of scared to mess with it.

those instructions in the website you posted show me a little bit but thats doesnt seem to be my car so, maybe when i rip it out tomorrow i wont completely screw it up, maybe just alittle bit.

Thanks!
