Default Smart to do swap this,or just boost what i have?

was wondering,got a spare 99 ex y8 and i was wondering wheather to boost it the way it is,orrrrrr change to a z6 and boost that,wondering if its worth the time.also if you decide i should stay,what ecu to change to to make better #s ty

i think the z6 is 125 and y8 is 127..

they are basically the same motor..

forreal and you know the y8 is gona have lower miles you will never feel the difference between the two.

Ok since i have both motors wat would be a good set up with both of them, like say should i put the z6 head on it? would it make a diffrence?

i would get a z6 and hold it on the side... boost the y8.. if it blows replace with the z6.. my firend been doing this for 5-6 years down.. been threw 10 motors.. when he find them cheap he gets a spare

i want my head to look like the z6 head that says vtech honda, how can i do that for cosmetic purposes?

ok now the question that i really need to know since i think imma stick with the y8 engine and boost that.... how much is it to switch from auto to manual now?

Actually from what I heard by switching to a Z6 head, you will lower the compresion ratio which is good for boost. This is do to the desing of the heads. But would that be worth all the truble?
