Cruise Control questions
Fuses are good.
What do I test next to see why cruise control doesn't work?
Let's start with the easiest to test, or cheapest to replace.
What wires/colors(?) do I trace?
Any giudelines as to how much vacuum to put on the hose to the cruise control "can" under the hood, and how do I check the electrical plug, etc at the "can"?
Any "common problems" that the cruise "always has"?
Thanks in advance.-Bob

well start your very own thread then.
Yours is a little different from the OP

Need a little info to help figure this out; does the dash lite come on when you push the button to turn it on?
When you push the 'cruise set' button does the cluster cruise light flash on then drop out?.
Have you tried hooking your toe under the brake/clutch pedal and pulling up a little when engaging the cruise?
Do your brake lights work?
Did you check where the clutch switch plunger contacts the clutch pedal arm? Sometimes the switch bumper gets worn out and the switch plunger doesn't hit anything.
Do you have a multimeter to do continuity checks?

1. I push the cruise control button on the dash left side and the lighted words
cruise control come on.
2.I push "cruise set" on the steering wheel right side and there is no flash and no drop off of the light. No light lighting on the dash where it says darkly "cruise control".
3.I hook my foot under brake, or clutch pedal and pull up while engaging the cruise on the steering wheel and the pedals are already at the top. Meaning that the sw/plungers are already pressed in.
4.The brake lights work. I see it in the reflection behind the car/3rd brake light.
5.With both pedals already at the top of their swing, both plungers/switches
are pushed in. There is no rubber bumper.
5.I do have a multimeter as well as a 12 volt test probe.
I have a mity-vac to apply vacuum to the vac line at the can, or any where else.
