Engine running but car won't move (help)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm on the freeway driving to work when all of a sudden I lost power at the wheels. The engine is still running but the car won't move when I put it on first gear.
So I towed it to my mechanic and he showed me that the passenger axle wasn't in all the way. So he snapped it back into the tranny. Started the car and put it on 1st gear. It worked! So then I go back to the freeway then It happened again! Engine running but no momentum. I can rev the engine and can see the tach needle going up and down as I rev.
Can it be the tranny? Can somebody help a fellow g2 owner out? Thanks

Most likely a bad axle/retaining clip. It "could" be the diff not allowing the clip to pop in like it should, but thats somewhat unlikely. Replace the little C' clip and see if that helps.

can you still feel your clutch engaging??? check in order..
engine>clutch/flywheel>tranny>axles>wheels
