I have done alot of searching on this topic and I have read I'm pretty sure all of the posts on this site but I am still a little uneasy. I would really like to do this to my 91 EXR, I don't have a problem with a little stiffer steering and I like the benifits of less weight and less parrasitic drag on the engine. The ONLY issue I have with this is the long term effects on the steering rack. There has been alot of mixed opinions on this mod, mostly about the added difficulty with steering. I just want to know if this is going to damage my steering rack with long time use. Sorry again for bringing this topic up again!! Thanks

 

ive done this mod on numberous cars with no adverse results, but you have to remember to fill the rack with PS fluid and loop the lines together.

it will get dry ruin the rack if it is run dry

 

Is there anyway to add fluid to the rack after the lines have been looped in case any leaks out after the mod? Can you just add fluid through the resovior??

Thanks! I have read both of those posts but the plumbing on my rack is different from those, obviously because they are both integra's. I know which lines are the pressure line and low pressure line from the pump and the fluid cooler but there are two other lines that go to a senor on the tranny, I think that they are for increasing pressure at low speeds but I'm not 100% sure. I'm going to try this mod either way seeing as it is easily reversed but I'm just trying to get as much knowledge as possible before going ahead with it. Thanks again!!

So what is your question exactly?

If you know what is you high and low pressure, those threads tell you which one you need to "T" into. And you other thread already answered your question about those other lines, just loop them.
