Anyone has V-TEC control ?
On their automatic ?? my cousins said it lower the RPM point and so my car would engage in v-tec quicker and of course go a little bit faster, plus i'm ordering Injen cai so it would help ?
Anyone who's gonna come in and say why don't u just buy an Si. The answer is i wanted to but there's some reason why i didn't get one and got an automatic so any help if the v-tec control will work for my auto then i appreciate it.
Here is the link to it btw http://www.fgpartsonline.com/i...ent=3

Use the search next time.
And there's no point in putting a vtec controller on your civic while it's completely stock, if you boost, and get some serious engine mods, maybe, but can't justify getting one without having those. Plus, an AFC NEO won't work on our civics because we have i-vtecs and it only supports the vtec.

If Vtec kicks in sooner, yes it should add a little more power. Intake will add a little more midrange power. That's part of what the Hondata reflash does to the Si. The drive-by-wire system make emanage a little more difficult (or so I have read).
I think one issue with this is you have an automatic. My last car was 02 LX (auto). It is difficult to add more power to an auto base model. So I only added SRI to it and waited for the new Si.
However, if you are really interested in purchasing this, you should call Apexi and get mroe information from them to see if it will work well with your model. It does say Honda/Acura applications, but they may say it is not recommended for your model or not.

..... yeah forgot about that v-tec is a phone manufacturer.
Oh and dude, the AFC NEO won't work on our generation civics. Bottom line.
A V-AFC 2, but still you can not justify using one without any serious mods on the car.

calm down man...he's new.

Yeah.... kinda, plus it wouldn't really be healthy for the engine..... vtec kicks in at a specific point, I think it was where the HP and torque crossover. .... Moving that engagement point would only be smart if your crossover moved as well, and you're only moving to move back to the crossover...... if that makes sense.

More power usually means less gas mileage, but if setup correctly you have control over fuel and things like that. Go to the link and it will show you everything you can change.
