Default EG- auto to manual mount movement question

Can anyone tell me exactly how far down the EG mount must be moved when converting auto to manual. I plan on welding in some mounts this weekend, so any help availible would be oh so fantastic. Thanks.

HASPORT! or... the mount itself has to be moved a few feet back... best right next to your gas tank. Now your syncros will match when shifting. Hope this helps

Yeah I don't know, unless your a bad *** welder, which your probably not, I would just get the conversion mount.

When I did mine, I didnt want to pay the like $400 or whatever the Hasport mount was, so I found another brand and it worked just as well too. It cost me somewhere around $120 with shipping.

Man, the $120 was WELL worth it to know my shitty welds didn't break and have my engine fall on teh ground at 70 mph, you may want to consider the same.

to reweld it would be a bitch. and you might be the best welder in the world, but spend $100 - $12o for the mount and make you life easier.

besides, you can't move it down. the auto bracket is totally different from the manual bracket and the auto bracket will have to be drilled out and replaced.

beisides, to go threw the trouble of buying the bracket, spending about $50 and the time it will consist of to weld, you might as well just spend another $50 and bolt it up in less then 5 minutes, and prbably will be safer and look nicer than the swapping of the brackets.
