Default 99 Accord Black Headlights (eBay)

Are any of these headlights worth the $100?

Not looking for added performance, just upgraded looks (and one of mine is VERY dirty inside, and I can't clean it).

When it says "JDM headlight" is that "JDM-style" or an actual brand name?
Are these direct drop-in's from stock (same bulbs)?
How hard are they to change (screws, etc.)?

If there's anything I should look out for (good or bad) please let me know!

yeah, I have them on my car and love the look. I actually have two sets. I tinted one set yellow for the jdm look and kept the others black. Here are a few picks.

any problems with their functionality?

can you suggest an ebay seller to buy from (there's so many)?

I would go with the last store since they have 99.9% positive feedback. JDM means JDM style... Yes they are direct plug-in I'm sure since my Ebay lights were but I'm not sure that they will fit perfect since they are off ebay. Mine did but ya never know, I'm sure they will. To put them in you will have to remove the front bumper cover and take some screws out, not too hard, too me a couple hours to do all of it.

I'll have to see. I used my Hanes book to do it. If I can't find anything and no one posts before I can do it, I'll type out how they say to do it in the book.

EDIT: Okay, I'll try my best at explaining this... Before you do anything, disconnect the battery and let it sit for about 5 minutes so you don't set off your airbags. IMPORTANT: Your stereo is equipped with an anti-theft system. Make sure you have the correct activation code before disconnecting the battery... (only if it's the stock stereo). Next pop the hood, easy right? Look between the headlights on the top of the grille (where the H is in the center) and you will see 2 black clips on either side. Use a flatblade screwdriver or whatever you prefer and pop those up or unscreew them, however yours are. Next, detach the screws securing the lower edges of the bumper cover. There will be several of these underneath the car running from one side to the other. Note: Use a small screwdriver on these screws to pop the center button up, but do not try to remove the center buttons. They stay in the ferrules. The last 2 bolts holding the bumper cover on are in the fenders at the top of where the sides mount inside the fenders. They are easy too see. Unscrew those and carefully remove the bumpercover. The headlight housings will be easy from there as you will be able to see the few screws that hold it in. I'm sorry I don't have pictures. Again, if no one helps you by tomorrow, I can take pictures detailing this tomorrow after work.

Okay, I'll snap a couple tomorrow and you can see how my headlights look. I got the Ebay projector/halos... they're alright, but if I could do it again, I'd go for something like you're looking at.

Very easy to swap out. Here's a DIY for doing blackhousings, so just skip the baking / painting parts. http://www.filtsai.com/accord/housings/index.php

I basically have the same ones, but I got mine through ProCarParts.com. They have an eBay store as well.

Fitment was spot on, but if you are using HIDs, the output is a bit more scattered with a few hotspots. You won't notice with halogen bulbs.

I purchased the JDM halo projectors in the beginning of last year. They are just ok. I think if I had to do it again, I would just black out my stock lights. The projectors don't throw enough light for me. I guess if you dropped HID's in them they would be pretty sick. Well I took pictures of my install and you can look at the pictures and you should be able to install them.

Picture of the location of the top bumper clips.

The location of the bumper clips on the bottom

Screw located in the wheel well. (8mm Socket)

Screw located on the bottom of the bumper near the wheel well (10mm socket)

Removal procedure of the bumper clips. Use a flat head screwdriver. Becareful as they do break!

Location of the screws that hold the headlight in. ( I don't remember the socket size off hand. Might have been a 14mm)

It should come right out. But take it out slowly and disconnect the wires to the head light.

Final product!

You need to get a socket wrench extension then its not a problem.
