Default 99 Accord Short Shift Adapter

First off I'm NOT going to spend the extra and get a short shift kit. I just don't have the money, or care that much.

Looking for something cheap, and will work reliably. Not too concerned about super short shifts. Just looking to try something new (and cheap).

Here's what I found on eBay:

Any opinions on those? Or links to anything else (cheaper, or at least as cheap)?

Am I safe to assume these instructions will work:

If your really going to get one of those just get the cheapest one, there all the same. I would recommend some locktite on the bolts though, mine always worked itself loose.

I now have a Forbidden shifter and love it more than ever, so I ask you to think again before waisting your money. The adapters will work but there just ok.

Default Re: (ex95cord)

thanks for the reply. especially from someone who's tried both ways!

i'm glad to hear that it actually does something, and i was planning on using loctite.

what exactly is the set screw for? clean up any 'play'?

do they even make any 'real' short shifters for the 99 accord (6th gen)?

I don't know if they make any "real" realy ones for your car, you'll have to search.

Yes the little set screw just cleans up the play, thats the one I had the most problems with, I lost the set screw once. Everything worked fine still just made clicking everytime you shifted.

Pspec makes a real short throw shifter for the 6th gen. I have one and it feels great. There was a group buy a long time ago so there are dozens of people with one.
