Default RSX seats in 96-00 civic question.

hello HT,

before someone goes off on me and tells me to do a search, ive already done plenty. i found a few write ups, but nothing concrete.

i want to buy some rsx seats to replace the ripping cloth seats i have now. through the searches ive come up with these results:

a) seats bolt right in, with the exception of one bolt
b) the seat pans / rails swap out. civic rails can be used on the rsx seats.
then i read how the rsx seats are a single solid frame, so the pan cant be swapped out
c) seats can fit with some homemade brackets with a few holes drilled in them

as you can see, those 3 solutions contradict each other.

is there a fool proof way of doing this, or is it mostly trial and error / fabrication?

thanks

Pretty sure RSX seats require custom brackets.

Yes, they do require cuztome brackets. The seat pan is welded to the seat so it's not interchangeable.

However, you can use S2k seats or integra seats.

S2k seats look enough like rsx seats, they sit a little lower too for you tall folks.

Yeah but the look pretty weak from behind and when your cars slammed they aint so comfortable to get in and out of...plus a nice pair of cloth RSX seats runs about 1/2 of s2k seats
