My prelude h22 is throwing a code 12- EGR Valve Lift Sensor. Searched and found some threads on removing the egr. I want to be sure that if I block it off, the code will still show but the motor will run fine correct? The motor is idling rough and surging from time to time. If blocking it off but keeping the egr valve there means motor runs fine but cel stays on that is fine. Just want to be sure that will solve the motor problem.

 

It's not definite that it will solve your problems, but it should run better if you're having problems with it . And yes, the code will stay on.
