Code 12 EGR Valve....
I started throwing a code 12, which is an EGR valve code, after cleaning my engine bay. I used plastic bags to cover up most important components (I say most because i obviously messed up by not covering the EGR valve). I used engine degreaser followed by the hose to clean the engine bay. Ever since then i have been throwing the code. I had an extra known working EGR valve that i installed but am still throwing the code. My car doesn't start sometimes as well, seems like during cold weather, but has been getting worse the last few days. This only started once i started throwing the code. Anyone have any ideas as to what my problem is...?
Did you reset the ECU and see if it came back?
I'd follow the "code 12" flowchart in the manual.. there's too much stuff to explain in here.
It sounds like the 'no start' problem could have just came at the same time.. by coincidence.

if resetting the ECU doesn't solve the problem.. check connector for defectiveness, moisture, etc....
did you have any other sensors unplugged... because the MAP, TPS, and EGR have the same plugs... although you would probibly be throwing additional codes if the plugs were switched.... but maybe not.. its always good to be 100% sure
is 12 the only code that you've been throwing

yes i reset my ecu. And the no start problem coincidentally happening at the exact moment i started getting a code 12....doubt it....

I have been driving around with this code for years now haha... my problem is ive got no wheres to connect my vacumes lines from and to the egr valve ... (dont ask its
an f22 from an odysey in a lude)
like 5spdH22 said check a flowchart from a manual and follow your vacume lines to make sure there all connected
