Default NHRA "Super Bracket" anyone heard of this before???

copied off the Sears Point website
http://www.searspoint.com/pages/hidden/importrules.html

NHRA import series coming to Sears point in Sept. According to the website is supposed to have this. This looks like it will be a lot of fun!

Super Bracket:
Heads-up start, first one to the finish line wins, provided the run is not quicker than the class Index. D.O.T. or racing tires.
Super 1 – 11.00-second Index
Super 2 – 12.00-second Index
Super 3 – 13.00-second Index

NHRA import series coming to Sears point in Sept. According to the website is supposed to have this.

i like the sound of that, better than regular brackets, but like most import brackets, the winner prob gets like $50 and a track program..as compared to the mostly domestic heavy eliminator class, which is the 12.00-13.99 bracket,
at etown nj on the weekends, has payouts starting at $1200 and up for winner.

Delay boxes allowed?

if you guys are interested in this can you please show your support by replying with your opinions? i'm in contact with the NHRA race director, and if he sees theres enough support maybe it can happen for sure.

i know you guys don't want to run dial a bracket right??? its so boring!

or would it be more fun to have something like an amatuers heads up race that features real street "fwd" cars, like the ones we own?

with rules that could go something like...

no fiberglass fronts
no cutting
must be street registered
ect... ect...

feel free to add on

Yes! thats what we need a street tire FWD Only class causewe got no shot at beating the RWD of Ari Yallon and crew with his Big Buck RX7 or against AWDs that have insane traction with street tires, just not fair, even tho the NHRA min weight for a FWD with a Power Adder is 1900lbs with driver, that is an impossible feat for any full interior, all glass window, street car..i think the lightest i can get my 91 Si with me in it is like 2350-2400 and my Si is one of the lighter FWD cars. With the NHRA Street Class the way it is now, effectively puts the most popular import cars out of competition, the Honda and Acuras cause right now,too have a good shot at winning, you gotta run 10s and FWDs are lucky to run low 12s on street tires
