I have an exhaust leak between my header and the cat ive always had it does that make me loose hp or do anything to the car i always tried to tighthen the screw hard but it always seems to come loose any ideas

 

attach a gasket maybe.

leak does loose your power.

 

ya, cause first off, if you have secondary 02 sensor, the leak before the sensor will detect lower levels of exhaust gas and thus, cutting back on the fuel and air- which is loss of power

so ya, try gettin a gasket, also, us something like ultra falange to secure the bolts

 

loose a little low-end,but nothing crazy.

Maybe you need a new gasket
