Another compession tester horror story
The rubber hose ripped apart out of the piece that threads in the spark plug hole...and now its stuck. -2 for autozone parts!
Ouch!
I have been afraid of that every time i did a compression test, so I only go "finger tight".
And now the thing stuck down in there is round, so a socket wont help.
I wonder if you could use a long screwdriver and work it into, (get it stuck) into the piece that is down in the spark plug hole, unskrew and lift it that way?
Dont make it worse by creating a lot of metal shavings or chips.
I tried to find a compression test that was Honda friendly, or some kind of 10 inch long "spark plug extender".
Anyone?

i have the same thing happen with my craftsman set. the problem is that it is cheaply made. i was able to get mine out by using a long round file, and wedging it in the end of the remainder of the fitting, and gently removing it.
you have to be careful, as these are not forged, and made of powdered metal, so they are brittle and fall apart easily.

after repeated use, they loosen up. it is just a hose over a cheap barb fitting. very **** poor design.

The cool part is i didnt even get in on there tight enough to get an accurate reading. I literally got the first few threads on then it just started spinning freely cuz i was threading it for about a minute and it wasnt getting any tight so i was like wtf
So i said fck that and i better unthread it befor it gets stuck and then the hose just popped out. The glue melted from the heat.
Ill be able to get it out with some long tool later today
