POST PICS OR BAN!!!!!!!!
Owner: Stumped!
Car: 1992 Acura Integra
Motor: Junkyard B18A1 // Motor had the following Stamps : " A " : 2357483 : " HM "
What I'm looking for is pictures of the Timing Belt set up for a stock LS motor [B18A1] .
Reason: Went to replace belt today , Bought belt from Auto Zone Part number # 95184.
Get back to the garage , Lined everything up to T.D.C. , Then proceded to put the belt on and in place and notice about 2 inches of slack!
So my 1st thought , It's the wrong belt! Take another trip to Auto Zone and verify it's the right one.
Guy behind the counter mentions non-vtec or someshit I think he was drunk So I just left in a pissed mood.
But When I originally bought the belt earlier today the guy was decent enough to print me out a basic picture of what my motor looks like [sideview] and how the belt is set-up.
So I'm looking at the picture after thinking the belt is too big , And this is what I see on the list:
Camshaft Sprokets: Current
Tensioner Pulley: Current
Tensioner: NONE
Crankshaft Sprocket: Current
Water Pump Pulley: Current
Idler Pulley: NONE
So I'm thinking maybe he gave me a wrong picture/diagram of another B series but as far as I thought , It was pretty much all the same set-up? .
To anyone who reads this please bump , The car is currently in a friend of a friends garage , And i'm getting charged rent space for it and tool usuage!
Please help out post pics or help full links that I can use for referance .
I have to be outta there by the end of tomarrow running or not , So any help is appreciated!
If there is any needed info I left out please ask , kinda tired here on 2 hours of sleep LNC FTW!!!
Edit: Car has no A/C or P/S!

Ok so instead of going to the dealer and getting the right belt for sure... you went to autozone and don't know if you got the right belt. You could have been done by now if you had just gone to the dealer in the first place. 30 mins is not that far away, esp. if it is for your car.

That's all there should be,
is the Slack the amount there normally is until you Tighten the belt?
Once everything is lined up, tensioner still loose, belt on,
turn COUNTERclockwise, until tight,
Tighten tensioner pulley, and it should be fine.

Yes, It just seems like I'm missing somthing thats why I asked to for pics , but from what it looks like everything that should be there is ....
Does it match up with your old belt??
Should have bought oem. I hate autozone crap belts. I've ran into so many problems with them. I've had to go back a few times till they gave me the correct belt.
