got a b18c5 (with no vtec pressure switch) fitted the solenoid with switch but no where to plug it i
i've talked to eg6ajk about this (it was him who told me the soleniods were different), so i went out and fitted the b16a2 item, and found there was nowhere on the integra loom to plug it in. (green plug with 2 wires, 1 black, 1 blue with black stripe, is this right?)
so i followed where this would plug in on the b16 harness to where the engine loom connects to the the cars loom and there is already a wire from the integra loom on that particular pin (also blue)
i tried wiring it so that both blue wires go to the pin and the black to ground but i still get code 22. do i need to snip the blue wire that is part of the integra loom? or can i just put a link on somewhere?
please help, i got an itr powered civic that i've never heard in vtec, i want to hear it scream.
once i think i fixed the problem, do i need to reset my ecu to get rid of the cel code.
as u may have realised, i got obd2 engine (no pressure switch), obd1 vtec solenoid (with pressure switch), obd2 harness (no place to plug in pressure switch) obd1 p30 ecu (requires pressure switch)
thanks in advance
do i really need the pressure switch, i mean it cant be needed that much if the engine didn't have it standard, can i not just link it out at the ecu somewhere

You need the pressure switch since the ECU needs it- it needs the signal from the pressure switch, the VSS, and the engine temp. Just find a plug and run the wire directly to the ECU.
