Default Condition Of My Engine?? (oil in catchcan)

Hi, its been NA for 3 years, and boosted for 1, always tuned, Its a stock block B18C, with ARP head studs. T3/T4 63trim turbo, 3" exhaust, 38mm tial, went 12.6 with best trap of 111mph (on slicks). Never Dyno'd im estimating around 250whp on 7psi.

I loose about 1/3-1/2 litre of oil about every 5 passes down the track. This oil ends up in my catchcan. My catchcan is hooked up like this.

Stock blackbox removed, hole pulled with freeze plug, Ports opened up above and lines ran to catchcan, also the valvecover vent line ran to catchcan. Catchcan open to atmosphere.

The car dosent smoke all that much going down the track eaither, it does smoke blue if im holding the RPM's up with no load at the line.. (after about 5-6 secs of hold the RPM's past 6k).

The car runs fine, gets regualar mainteance, dosent knock or anything.. Just curious if this is any key to how the engine is doing.

with that setup, i have seen problems with oil splashing to the back of the crankcase and going up into the catch can. Sometimes the catch can fills after one run... people think theyre motor is about to go but its just a minor problem.

i had the same problem on my LS turbo. Went to the track, made 1 pass and checked the can and it was full. i freak and started checking the plugs and compression. Everything was fine so i filled it back up with oil and made some more passes. i then talked with my tuner and he told me that oil could splash back into the can. i've got 100k on my stock boosted LS and i check my can weekly and get a few drips of oil out of the catch can. if you have good compression and leak down #s i wouldnt worry about it.

ok thanks, never done a compression or leakdown, but as far as i know everything is ok, ive had the head off it twice this year. Plugs always look good too. Just making sure this motor is a good candidate for forged rods/pistons.

that seems like a bad thing to happen. if your catch can lines are filled with oil, the crankcase blowby cannot vent. you still have the valve cover, but i could see some pressure building in there at the worst time.
