Default any way to test out a blue box?

im buying a used greddy kit, and i was wondering if there is anyway you can test if the blue box works before you install. i'd hate to spend $700 on a turbo install and not be able to drive

The only way I am aware of to "test" to see if the blue box is working is when it is acutally on the car. Once you get your install done, make sure you're running rich whenever you hit boost and that'll tell you whether or not the blue box is working correctly. If that method doesn't work, you could always go the check valves and Boost dependent FMU route. Lastly, why are you spending $700 on a Greddy kit install. The install is fairly easy and will take about a day or two to do with just basic hand tools. Check out www.turbocivic.net for instructions. With the money you save, you can get a nice intercooler.

oh, $700 includes the install of a new clutch, an intercooler, timer, boost controller, and some gauges.

There's a green light on the blue box that should be blinking if it's working properly...I know that doesn't answer your question, but whatever.
