Default 92-95 eg cluster with shift light

ok my friend gave me his old cluster of his eg hatch. i think it was a cx model, but anyways it has a shift indicater. when i drove the car the dam light would not turn on, so one day i was driving in the free way and i use my cruise control and bam that light comes on lol. but it was indicating that the cruise control was on. my question is can i rewire it to my vtec so when my vtec engages it turn the lil shift light on?

Hook it up to the power wire on the solenoid.

When the solenoid activates it'll turn on

VTEC lights are gay though...but whatever floats your boat.

LOL agreed

if you want a shift light get your self one from sumit racing they are easy to wire up and have different types for what ever your needs are!

also about this RICED out vtec light hope this helps you

The only way for the light to work correctly is get a California-based CX/VX ECU, then run the wiring.

The cruise control light is in that location (if your cluster is from a VX) if your car is an LX/EX/Si.

LoL you dont need a light to tell you when you hit VTEC, you get pressed back in the seat when you hit VTEC, that in itself is a good indicator that "its working".
I have seen instances where people have wired actual shift lights ( not vtec ones, lol) to the SRS warning light on the tach.

you could totallly write V-tech on a piece of paper, and put it over the light, so when the teque kicks in it'll say it!!!!!

I'm pretty sure he knows how to spell VTEC a lot better than you.

I'm not sure you even know what VTEC means.

You're.. pushed back into the seat? Wonder if that applies to pretty much stock single cam motors?
