Default auto to manual mount questions, SEARCHED

Im picking up a 94 ls auto that comes with everything to swap in the 5-speed. Ive been looking for about an hour and cant find a difinitive answer. Do i need an aftermarket tranny mount. And if so, ive heard place racing, hasport makes them, but their expensive as ****. any alternatives other than cutting and welding? Will the one on jdm **** for the 92-95auto civic with a b swap work? The guy im getting the car from said i didnt have to use an aftermarket mount and hes done 2 without using one.

I've heard people fabricating their own mounts but in my swap, I just made life easier and bought the hasport mounts. Rather be safe than sorry, don't want that thing to snap on me when i'm driving. Plus I don't think an auto tranny mount won't work because it's not long enough to reach.

so is the auto mount just higher up on the framerail? some posts, guys were talking about using washers to space it down, which i know is ghetto.

sorry I totally forgot how it was like. Swap it like 2 years ago. I think the auto tranny mount that is on the frame didn't reach the tranny. Someone clarify this for me.

i would use the hydro tranny and just get all the stuff to do it that way. i dont think the provisions are there to run a cable for the clutch. and youde have to buy the hydro to cable conversion from hasport to make a cable tranny work. As far as the mount, you have to use an aftermarket mount or cut and weld the stock mount. but its not a bolt in affair.

why would i have to buy a hydro to cable convesion if the tranny is a cable tranny... its an automatic car?? wouldnt a cable be the most simplist option?
