Wire problem with rear taillight
The passanger side rear tail light doesnt come on when i turn the lights on at night. however, when i push the breaks, they DO come on. Also, the reverse white lights dont work either. i recently changed all the bulbs when i noticed it wasnt working. I took it to a friend and he said the the harness plug is showing grounding signals. He said i have to "T-tap" it? im not sure what that means and I'm not the efficient when it comes to circuitry. I need some help fast before i get pulled over for this! thanks!
ti sounds like you tail light bulb is burned out. those bulbs have two filimits one for runing lights and one for braking. ur reverse bulb may be blown or the harnus is lose and may need some conductant grease.
is there a fuse or something that links to it? im not sure which one and i dont have the fuse box cover for the driver side. can someone gimme a pic or a link to that?
If you want to isolate what's wrong, I'm stripping a 92 hatch and I'll sell the car side connectors for like $5 shipped. You can then connect the harness to your light, ground the ground wire and use a wire from your battery to test each wire. Each one will light a different bulb or filiment.
This way, you won't have to hack up your connectors and can isolate the problem.
