Default Fidanza Flywheel ??

I havent heard anything bad about the quality of fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheels but i was on preludepower and under the parts list it says its not recomended. Why is this ?

The only reason I can think of beside that it is a idiotic site is that it might be "eaten" up easy. Hope that makes sense.

I personally prefer the cromoly flywheel (8.8lbs) compared to the fidanza which is 8lbs becasue it is stronger.

IMO, it seems like every Lude owner has a Fidanza flwheel!

Fidanza is an excellent flywheel...

before i put this down and u guys correct me if im wrong but does findaza flywheel has a mark? so u can check the timing or is it has to be the correct way to put it on or just slam it and screw it in??

there is a little hole in on the flywheel that fits perfectly on the dowel pin that come from your engine bay. that makes sure your timing is correct. The problem i ran into as i was installing the fidanza was that the hole was slightly too small so i had to dremel the hole to make it bigger. after that...no problems whatsoever. i love the fly

I've only seen one problem with a Fidanza where the flywheel bolts back out, but more than likely that was due to installer error.

I prefer a chromoly flywheel myself, but I've used the Fidanza with no problems and the other track 5gen I work on uses a Fidanza with no issues.

i ran into the exact same problem.....bringin it to work monday and reeming out the holes in the drill press
