i really need a decent alarm system and was wondering what kind to get, and where to get a quality installation for a good price....my budget is around 150-350$ but the lower the better. so any reccomendations and what is everyone going with?

what did you go with? anyone, i dont want to get stuck with a pos alarm system.

 

I have a Viper 791XV in one car, and a Viper 591XV in my daily.

And also, have some patience around here. This forum doesn't move that fast that you need to bump your thread so often. It'll take a week to get off the first page.

 

this place can do an AUDIOVOX 2 way w/ pager alarm for 280 installed.....or my other option is best buy with a 2 way VIPER alarm w/ pager for 380 installed? i really need some advice asap cuz im going in tomorrow for an install.

 

I'd go with the Viper... I installed both when I worked at Best Buy and hated those Audiovox 2-ways... The brains were huge, and the remotes were cheesy... But that's just my opinion...

However, they'll both perform equally as well with a good installer... Doesn't matter what you put in. Even the best alarm will be crap if improperly installed. Something to think about.

 

Pricing is only relevant if you know what options you're getting for those prices.
