How hard is it to replace a clutch?
its not something i would recommend you try unless you have worked on cars before. I dont know how much experience you have, but i have done a lot of work on Hondas and other cars....i did my clutch alone and it wasn't difficult, just time consuming. It would be a ton easier if you had help.
Its not to bad. Get a helms if you don't have one, and just follow the steps and make sure to retorque everything.

And instead of removing the shift linkage from the tranny just drop the tranny with the shift linkage and disconnect it from the shifter.
The pin to remove is commonly known as "bitch pin" for obvious reasons.

just have to have right tools, dont get frustrated, and it is time consuming the first time.

Make sure it's a clutch problem and not a tranny problem, like low MT fluid, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, improperly bled system, or even tranny syncros. Would suck to swap the clutch and still have the grind.

no im pretty sure its the clutch because the guy said that it never grinded till he put that new clutch in so hes sure thats what it is.
well if it never ground gears and then he replaced the clutch and it did, i would wager a guess that HE screwed something up. Check the fluid, the check if the axles are in all the way, then check to see whether the clutch fluid was bled after install (provided its a hydro)

are you pressing the clutch all the way to the floor before shifting? with my exedy stage 2 i noticed that if the pedal isn't on the floor when shifting the gears will grind a bit. i don't think there really is a way to 'install a clutch wrong.' it'll only go on one way.
