Default how to set distributor obd0 to obd1 conversion

I converted the 91 b18a1 to obd-1 and got an obd-1 distributor. how do I set this thing and how do I set the timing??

I assume it can only go in one of two ways due to the cam slot it rides on??

I looked through the FAQ topics but didnt notice any that pertain to what I want and all the timing threads only show how to replace the timing belt....

oh yeah, anyone have the order for the plug wires as well, I got those goofed up too

ok, I got the firing order as 1342 and the plug order.

I'm assuming that all I have to do is pull the plug cover off and set the plug order depending on which one of the terminals the rotor is pointing to at the time??

no, it's had all the obd-0 white plugs on it. I got the distributor from a 95 which has the gray plugs as well as the sensors and plugs, etc.

my old ecu was the pr4 with the red LED, I'm now using a p75.

but anyway, I'm really after how to set the distributor and how do I set the timing.

I know I hook up a timing light and set it by rotating the distributor but the repair guide on autozone's site only gives me the plug order and shows me how to line up all the timing marks.

It doesnt go into detail on how to get the car to idle at 750rpm (which is what it says you use to set it at 16 degrees.

doesnt say whether it is supposed to be 16 before tdc or after tdc, nor does it tell me if there's a spout or vac line I have to unhook to stop the distributor advance to set it properly...

yes, it's an obd1 p75, I also have two p06's that I'm going to chip after I get it running.

ok, well I guess by the lack of responses saying "omg you're going to blow up your motor!!"

or stuff like that.

I must have everything figured out pretty good....

start car and let it reach norm. operating temp. unplug the iacv and set the idle to 550+- 50 rpms. plug the iacv back in and shut car off.
that should set the idle.

jump the service connector before setting timing .
as far as the firing order 1-3-4-2 you start by the bottom left of cap and go clockwise.
if you have an adjustable timing light set the light to 16.5 and move the dizzy to match the tdc white line.
timing degrees go by before tdc, meaning it would be firing at 16.5 degrees before tdc
no vacuum advance on your car, its electronic

coo. I just have an old fashion el cheapo timing light. So I'll just adjust it to the 16* mark on the pulley
