i need bottom end parts.
ok my crank is at the machine shop with my pistons and connecting rods. the owner said he recommends that i get new pistons. now im looking to get better ones. he recommended getting eagle rods and JE pistons. how much do those usually run for a b18c1? im thinking of sticking around the stock compression so i dont have to get the octane booster everytime i put gas in my car.
questions....
how much do the eagle rods and JE pistions cost?
does anyone have any that are for sale?
whats the stock compression ratio of a b18c1?
thanks in advance for the help.

Eagle rods - $300
JE Pistons - $500 w/ rings
I'd personally recommend getting CP or Wiseco pistons, I've seen way too many JEs that get eaten from improper piston-to-sidewall clearance. Also, you can run atleast 11:1 on pump gas (91 octane) and 12:1 on 93. Really with good tuning you can run 12:1 on 91 octane, but w/e floats your boat. Stock compression on the GSR is 10:1 and the RSX-S runs 11:1.
