i searched google and ht for a writeup on swapping GSR trannys.

all i got was a long list of "WTS, WTB, and WTT" threads. and useless advertising web sites on google.

can anyone direct me to a good writeup of a transmission swap for a B18C1? I'm sick and tired of taking my cars to shops to get major repairs (such as trannies/clutches/etc)... time to take matters into my own hands and learn this **** myself; the best way is by doin it. (and i really don't feel like payin 60 bucks for a haynes manual.... that's 60 bucks i dont have lol)

 

umm... i suggest not doing it yourself the first time. there is alot that can go wrong while swapping trannies. im doing mine this weekend, but im enlisting the help of a local HT buddy with lots more experience with all kinds of swaps.

i tried searching for a guide to help, but found nothing. find someone in your area to help you. pay them something. its worth it, cause when you do it the next time, you can do it yourself.

 

And since your in mass, check out turbooptions.com its a honda/import forum for guys from maine, nh and mass.

 

true, i have lots of tech friends who are all mechanical graduates and all went to school for this stuff.... their help was intended. i'd just figure a writeup would help me out instead of just sitting back and watching my friends do all the work. what sense of satisfaction do you get from watching somebody ELSE do ALL the work for you? ya kno...

but thanks ill do that.

 

ill get the whole process on camera this weekend... ill might post up a guide for anyone in the future trying to do it themselves.
