Default Probs with manual Honda ex 95 2.2 ~

hey guys,

Just need some help on a few things:

1) When driving, squeaky noises come from the engine esp. when the air-con is turned on, squeaky gets terrible with accelaration!
why is dat?

was thinking proly coz the belting is covered with oil from the power steering hose which is leaking. How much is dat gonna cost? (gotta fix dat! its drowning the engine)

2) The hand brake light is always on despite the handbrake is free.. could it be needed to be adjusted? hissing noises while driving, really irritating. wonder why is dat?

3) The ABS light is always lit on... Any reasons why?

1) Drive belts, probably. With age they get hard & slippery. Oil just adds more trouble. Get new belts, but fix the PS leak first. That cost depends a LOT on exactly what's leaking.

2) Low brake fluid also triggers that warning lamp. Check it.

3) Jumper the SCS connector, just like you do to read ECU error codes. The ABS lamp will flash it's own error code.

Had the same problems on my Coupe.

1) Pretty right on with the belts. Its probably your timing belt, about ready to go out since your saying the squeaking is eratic.

2. Could either be Low brake fluid, but the abs light is on as well. It's gonna be your brake fluid sensor which takes a crap on most of our cars.

3. I'm gonnna jump the gun and say that your Abs light comes on about 10 seconds after driving. I forget what my dealership said about it this problem but it has something to do with a sensor as well.

Only advice i can give is that the last two wont give you any long term problems, and if possible dont go to your local dealership or you'll be charged a nut. Just get those belts done Asap.
