Default Speedo Crazy.

Ok so when i drive my speedo doesnt work but occassionally it will jump up and start working then die again and come back ect... I have no clue i though it might be because my tranny was going out but i got a new one and it still does it. Any Idea's?

I would check and clean your VSS (vehicle speed sensor). It's located on the top of your transmission and is attacked by one 10mm bolt.

there is no way your tranny is wrongy buddy. It's either your cluster or VSS(vechile speed senor)...

I concur. If your tranny is bad, more than likely your car isn't even moving.

check your VSS, cluster first. Then check your distributor.
When your dizzy is about to go, the symptoms are:
1. car fails to turn on
2. instrumental panel goes crazy

then thatd be the coil. But yeah some cars have different reactions to what the symptoms are.
I used to drive a 95 civic and ehh yeah it had all type of problems.
So i bought myself an 06 si. Now, i look for any excuse to fix or diagnose my friends cars

I have a 92 EG lx that did the same thing. I replaced the cluster and it still did the same thing. Then i bought a new vss and the problem went away. Hope this helps
