I have a Y1 cable tranny that uses a mechanical spedometer. I'm hooking up an Apexi avc-r boost controller and i need to connect it to and electronic speed sensor for the gear function. I can get the sensor from the junk yard but how do i hook it up. any one has wire diagram. i will be monitoring speed with the avc-r.
I would look into the possibility of using the output of your in dash VSS rather that trying to use an electronic VSS on the transmission. The in-dash VSS works fine for a 1992-1995 ECU. So it should work fine in other applications that use an electronic VSS.

i dont know what VSS stand for. but i use a pr3 ecu with my b16a swap. i dont think it has a speed sensor wire because it uses a cable for the speedo.
