Default Rear Mount question.

Can anyone on here can tell me what's the easiest way to get the rear mount out w/o a hassle?

I took the tranny to crossmember bracket loose. it won't come out. Then I went through the top with a 2 ft extension for the 3 14 mm bolts into the crossmember.

Then you lift the bracket, pull out the old mount, put in the new one.

I will say this job is easy as hell on an EK/EJ and a total bitch on a teg and probably EG. There's a ton more room to work in the EK/EJ.

In addition to the above (speaking from a DIY article and not experience), loosening the two side mounts (upper tranny and upper driverside) so that the engine can 'rotate' on the front two lower mounts, helps out too. The article also pictured a jack under the oil pan to 'rotate' the engine.

this will make is able to come out. You may have to rotate the "T" bracket some while taking it out. I changed out mine in my B series EG this way.

By jacking up the motor some, you get some room to wiggle the bracket out.

If you use that technique, it might not be necessary to unbolt the bracket from the motor.
